As long as he was clean and got the right help why not... You should never hold a past against someone.. We all have things we have done that we want no one to know about right!!! Maybe not as bad but hey we live and learn!!

As long as he was an "ex" junkie and not a junkie lying to a girl. As long as he was a good person, I'd give him a shot. No lies. No BS. Straight up.

I definately don't see a problem with it, of course it would depend on the person but the way i see it is: Your old habit is something that made you who you are now, it affected you and makes you interesting, intriguing? i mean we all have our pasts, what matters is how you use that experience in the future. Like how it made you stronger or better person, ya know? Obviously the topic isn't small talk but the thing is, everyone has gone through things, it isn't a big deal.

Hmm. No not really.
But explain your condition. Have you been drug-free? Tell her how you have kicked your habit (passionate stories about how you went through such a tough rehab make girls all soft). I'm sure you're a great person, so just make that shine through the memory of your past and girls would definitely go out with you.

You would be surprised...the true love of my life is an active IVDA
There is no man on the planet who makes me feel as safe as he does. My father died over 20+ years ago, and I am confident in telling you, my father made me safe and so does my IV heroin user. Damn, do I love that man.

Not really. Sometimes we can look beyond it to the person you have become. But usually it is just easier to stay clear. Don't bring it up on the first date.
