aight so im thinking about gettin my GED and im just wondering if universities or no? i mean obviously its better to just stay in hish school and finish it the normal way but i wanna know that is it bad to or can u even get into a university with a GED? is it a bad thing to get ur GED...tell me w/e u know plz thnx

Getting accepted at university has a LOT fewer absolute rules than you'd think. For example, if you score a perfect 1600 on the SAT, you don't need a high school diploma AT ALL.

But since most of us are not in that category, the easiest way to get into college is with your best foot forward--and that means a regular high school diploma from a regular high school, complete with extracurricular activities and references.

Another way is to go from high school directly to community college to finish your high school diploma there, without dropping out and without getting a GED. I think that is a more favorable option than officially dropping out of school and getting a GED before going to community college.

Or, if you're REALLY brilliant, skip high school and undergraduate college altogether and apply directly to grad school . . . .

you can go to a community college for two years then transfer to a university. i don't think you can go straight to a university
