For online relationships, are there any general rules of thumb for how long it should normally take for you to hear back from that special someone? For example, 1-3 days?
Also, if possible should you always try to write her back within a 24-48 hr time frame?

email messages are much more easier for people that calling back on the phone.
If there is no response within 3-4 days, follow-up with another.
If no response within 2-3 days of the second one, forget it.
Do the match, thats about 1 week to respond to two messages.
There is a difference between playing hard-to-get and ignorance.
Never write back within 1 day, give yourself 2-3 days.
Again, it works both ways: for her to you, for you to her.
