How much space do you need for taking care of 12 kids in an apartment. I was thinking of having a big two bedroom apartment is that ok or is more space needed?

it depends on your state but in the state of California you can not use a apartment/home you do not live in to care for children and if you do live there then every room you use that has children in it has to be child proof so child locks on drawers even of your personal dresser etc if it is a upstairs down stairs apt (townhouse) they never allow children in any circumstances in the up stairs so only your bottom living area will count 12 is a lot and i believe it must be 10 square feet per every child in the rooms you are using total so kitchen living room playroom etc its not a lot but in a apartment it can be alot also if you use the outside it has to met state standards as well so if your apt has a tot lot they will want to check it as well so it can be done but you might want to consider doing 8 at first see how well it works because on a rainy day 12 kids stuck inside during school brake in a apartment can be a nightmare! i have done it with 8 and its no pic nic and i have a 3 bedroom house with a playroom!

that is definatly not enough space...can't you only have 5 children under your care at once? Maybe your laws are different but I would look into that as well...

Check with your local daycare licensing office. They will hand you a pamphlet of all the requirements and recommendations.

thats not acceptable.you need a house to care for that many kids...and a yard.
