Any mixed breed dog. They can be just as smart as a full breed, loyal, and need love too. So many mixed breeds are dumped into SPCA's all the time, purely because so many want pure-breds. It's sad.
I have two mixed breed dogs, and I love them like children. One is a APBT mix (not sure what the other half is, she looks like a Pit) who is such a big baby she'll steal the covers from you on a cold night, the other is a Black Lab retriever / German Shepard mix who's in his "terrible two's" puppy stage, but the most adorable thing I've ever laid eyes on.

hey it doesn't matter but if i were to say any ting i would say that the border collie or a welsh corgi would be good for a smart Friend if you like small dogs i say go with a Yorkie and if you like big dogs go with a lab or a golden receivers they make great GIANT buddies and with the proper care all these dogs could live for a very long time

I love all large breed dogs. But my favorite is an American Pit Bull Terrier. But I also REALLY love American Bulldogs, Bull Terriers, Mastiffs, Rottweilers, English Bulldogs, and Boxers.

A hyper Border Collie that is like Orson,Jon Katzs dog. Mine is Wilber. He runs the fence herding the highway snow plow in the winter and the lawn tractor. In the summer until he gets the "No off my mower in the summer"

I love my mini dachshund. They have great personalities and are very loyal. They will also try to be very protective or the people that take care of them. Read up on them before you get them that way you know the best ways to train them and it will help you to understand why they do some of the things they do. I LOVE THEM!

I love weimaraners they are great dogs not only protective of there owers but very beautiful as well

Beagles! I have a seven month old male, he has so much personality! My parents had a beagle/coonhound mix, who also had a sweet disposition.
