Personally I say no, Eve screwed that up long ago,what do you think?

Initially, yes, we were put here to follow God's direction and by doing so enjoy life to the fullest. Yes, Eve was deceived and Adam disobeyed and things are not now as they were intended to be. However, God has promised to make all things right again. I believe him.

Yes, we were. Eve may have screwed up, but that's just made it harder to achieve happiness, doesn't change why we're here.

It truly is a fools paradise to believe that all would be well in paradise. Imagine no struggle, no trials, tribulations or failures. It is in the pursuit of gaining experience and overcoming that we gain strength and the wisdom to know what is good and gives us joy because we have seen the opposite.

We are here for fellowship with G-d and to serve others for His glory. This produces happiness. Happiness is a by product.

No, according to my religion, we were put here to devote ourselves to the god. Devotion here doesn't mean you have to pray all day long, sleep is considered a devotion, working is considered a devotion, everything you do is considered a devotion if it is done in certain way. I don't know about your religion.

God's original plan was for us to be happy and have a direct communion with our Creator, but because of OUR sin, death/sin/suffering entered the world and we broke that direct relationship with GOd. but JEsus came and saved those who believe in him, so we can be with GOd once more.

We weren't put here. We evolved. Happiness is probably a by-product of realizing our survival.
