Actually, there's this revolution going around on hair hygiene. It's been proven that people who don't wash their hair every day have thicker, healthier, shinier hair. You have to start slowly to avoid the grease factor, though. Try going three days without washing for a few washes, then gradually build up to a week, and keep building more and more. The oils in your hair are there naturally, and if you take them out, you're messing with natural lubrication that your hair actually DOES need. So, if your hair gets greasy, it's okay to shower, but don't use shampoo. Just rinse with water, and use a little bit of conditioner.

Highlights also help thin hair look thicker. You'll want them more around your face (especially if you have bangs, you'll look amazing) and you'll want them closer together than most people have them. Lighter colours make things look bigger, this is why you should get a lot of highlights.

I hope this helped, good luck!

Yes, I've had to deal with my fine hair all my life. I use professional hair shampoo(s). I alternate at least with 2 different ones each week. This way it prevents any unwanted build up on the hair.

Letting you hair dry natural without a hair dryer helps immensely. It keeps the hair from braking off and getting split ends

Always use a wide-toothed comb on wet hair. Remove knots, starting at the bottom and work your way up. Never use a comb on dry hair, except if you are going for a very straight part.

I have tried hundreds of products, Professional, and others. One outstanding product is called Infusium 23-Original. It contains enriched Panthenol (B-Vitamins), and is a leave in conditioner.
Just don't over do it. More is not better. Otherwise, gentle conditioners made to help de-tangle the hair are best rinsed out.

Blunt Scissor Hair cuts are best because it helps the hair to appear thicker. Texture/Razor hair cuts do well, if you can find an Expert Hair Dresser to do it properly.

You can shampoo daily. Just try some of my advise.

I have "fine" hair. In the winter, there is less moisture in the air, so hair tends to be more dry and staticy. Also, scalps are more dry. I wash my hair every other day. And when I do, I will put the shampoo on my scalp, while putting conditioner on my ends. This way, I am keeping the more dry ends moisturized and the scalp clean.
As weather warms up, I wash more frequently - but I still keep the ends conditioned while I shampoo my scalp.

You cannot get thicker hair, but keeping hair layered lightly helps give the hair more movement. All one length long hair just gets weighed down. No product can ever give you thicker hair. It is NOT "thick" by using any product. Some products can plump the hasir shaft - but it is temporary. Thick hair is created by the number of follicles per square inch. Blondes (natural ones) have the fewest hairs per square inch. No hair product can magically make you grow new hair follicles!!
