Well, they said that methadone was in Anna Niclole's refrigerator...

Most methadone abuse is perpetrated by friends and family members of people who receive the drug on a prescription basis for medical conditions. [citation needed] "Street methadone" has a black market value of roughly $20 for up to 100 milligrams and $25 to $35 for anything more than a hundred milligrams which will give people with a strong tolerance to opioids a comfortable high. [citation needed] However, this practice is very dangerous. If a person who does not have a tolerance to opiates takes a dose of methadone intended for someone on a maintenance program, they will quickly overdose.

everyone is different, body weight is a big factor. If he is 150-200 lbs, 2 won't be enough to get high very soon. Methadone is a very strong opiate (maybe synthetic opiate), I used to have fun with it too. If he is being prescibed it or picking it up at a clinic, they will be giving it to him in quantities that I disagree with. He'll have to stop on his own. Very hard to do for some, others will find it to be no problem. Sooner or later he's going to run out and not have any. That's when he will experience what me and my friends call "peeing out of the butt." Not fun. Followed by vomiting, headache, fever. Make sure that he eats, if he has nothing in his stomach, then all that bad stuff is worse.

I was taking 5mg. I got to the point where my tolerance was allowing me to take about 6-10 of them. So, I wouldn't recommend that much, but if he is taking 10mg or 20mg, he could be in trouble if he wants to quit. If he's been taking them consistantly for a month or longer, he will need help quiting. I hope this helps, I'm not a doctor, just someone who knows how do drugs for himself. Best thing is that he gets off of Methadone, call a doctor if you think he will get too sick after quitting(HE WILL GET SICK FROM WITHDRAWS), withdraws can harm people very badly, sometimes death. I've been through them, they suck but I replaced them with alcohol and pot until I felt better, now I'm sober for the meantime. Call his doctor, or have him call his doctor.

It's normal for narcotic addicts to develop tolerance, and many routinely take doses that would make a normal person stop breathing. There just isn't an answer to your question, as it's very individual.
