without the holy spirit, one cannot believe in Jesus Christ.

In order to believe in Jesus Christ I am going to need to believe that man was created from clay. I am going to need to believe in talking animals, and all sorts of silliness.
I say I have to believe in all of the above because without the original sin created by Adam and Eve what is the point of believing in Jesus.
I do not subscribe to such foolishness. Perhaps there is some sort of higher power, but it surely would not be a Yahweh. I really doubt that it would even be a thinking entity. Hell, it could just be nature calling the shots, that is where modern science seems to be pointing at.

I also believe in the existence of Jesus Christ, but not his divinity. So I suppose finding proof of his divinity would be the next step.

You can? That's funny. There's a lot of debate about whether or not he actually existed - there are a lot of scholars who would be interested in your evidence. Care to provide it?

but apart from in books written by christains there is no historical proof he ever existed. no roman records no jewish records.
jesus is only mentioned in chistian writings. not good enough
