I really care about him but at lunch he cryed a whole lot and then when i wanted to ask him he toughened up and said he did aint what to do?

Let it go, he may really not want to talk about it. Just tell him if he needs you then you are there, but don't push it.

Well maybe he found out someone in his family died, or his gf dumped him. But wait a couple of days and then ask him again when your alone so he doesn't have to worry about anybody listening.
