It's a crime to wear new clothes and have a new car now lol??? They do a job and get paid for it!!! It's the "love" for money that is the root of all evil, that doesn't mean "needing" money is evil because everyone needs money to survive. Money itself is not evil, but quite often the things people to to get money can be evil.... Stealing oil, ripping people off etc.

The Bible doesn't say the root of all it evil, it say, money can be the root of much evil. Very different actually. They ask for it to help people, pay the prechers and people who work for the church, and plain ol greddiness. Depends on the church.

Money is not the root of all evil--- but greediness contributes heavily towards evil. The church asks for money during the collection to sustain the church. It also donates a lot of that money to the poor people, especially in Africa.

Actually, money isn't the root of all evil. LOVE of money is the root of all evil. And churches do need money. They have bills to pay, and they also have to give SOMETHING to their pastors/reverends/priests.
My church isn't tax exempt, and we still have bills to pay. We also give money to several different missionaries, and we donate money to helping the poor in our town.

The love of money is the root of all evil. Money itself is not evil, its evil when you love it above Christ and your family. Tithing is not asking for money, we are supposed to take care of our church and our pastor. Do you think the power companies let churches have free gas, electric and phone service? Tithing goes to pay for the utilities, taking care of the church and the pastor's salary. I give my weekly 10% to my church, as the Bible commands.

They want to get to the root of all evil.

please
don't believe in that kind of nonsense - money (or what ever your religion claims is evil) is not evil.
Look at the human mind ( and especially culture) instead

It is the LOVE of money that is the root of all evil! Besides Paul to the Corinthians 9 : 14 says The Lord has commanded that those who preach the gospel should receive their living from the gospel.
This means that if you dedicate your life to Jesus' ministry you should earn your living from it. get paid, livelyhood. act as if you did not know, and if you didnt, NOW YOU KNOW. GOD BLESS

WRONG !!

The love of money.

1Ti 6:10 For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.
