My son is 14 months old. I have been giving him liquid vitamins, but am looking for an easier alternative. (He has learned to spit them across the room, and refuses any food items they are mixed in to) Any ideas? I have looked into the gummie vitamins but I think that he might choke on them. What Vitamins do you give your toddler?

My doctor has recommended that my son be given vitamins, ever since the day he came home.

He was 2 months premature, but completely healthy. Never has had any health issues. Perhaps my doctor is doing it as a precautionary measure?

I would stick with liquid. Just make sure that you squirt it in the cheek area, then it will be harder for him to spit it out. Also I find doing it really fast helps a lot.

I give my daughter the gummy vitamins. At first she thought they were fruit snacks. I bought the Pooh gummies cuz she loves Pooh, and now she tells me she wants her Pooh vitamins. I'm also a little sneaky, cuz I bought the generic brand that had 3 times the amount of the Disney brand and I just keep refilling the bottle. She can't tell the difference. PS-these are only good for 2 yrs plus. For now, you should add the liquid vitamins to his juice.

From my experience your son is still too young to take regular childrens vitamins- the only kind that I know of is the liquid kind. Does he have to have them? Did his pediatrician prescribe them?

For such a young age, I have heard that you can get soluable tablets that dissolve in water & are pleasant tasting for them. Try asking for them at your local health food store or pharmacy.

Try the vitaball or vita-ball. It's chewing gum with all the vitamins. What kid doesn't like gum?
