its not the shampoo its the way u wash ur hair. WEll could be the shampoo. Avoid the cheap stuff, like suave or rain or anything for a buck for that matter. Second, get something like tresseme or pantene and when u begin to wash ur hair, take a medium size amount of shampoo in ur palm and start at the back of ur head, srub like u mean it, all the way up to ur scalp and forehead. then go back where u started and go down to the ends. Oil in ur hair is a good thing and u dont want it all out. Let the shampoo sit for a minute then rinse. If ur hair is not like super sudsing up then you really need to rinse and do a second wash. For oily hair wash every other day, and use minimal amount of conditioner on ur roots and top of scalp. Use a fine brush to brush ur hair so even out the oil in ur hair and give ur hair a natural shine. Some other shampoos u can use is biolage which is great, and may favorite, paul mitchel. But just because they are expessive doesnt mean they work any better. So good luck!

I know there are certain types of hair that seem oily. But, it comes from the scalp. One excellent way to get the most from your shampoo(s), to cut the oily down is a process where you Apply the shampoo to the wet hair, on the scalp first. Massage this in well for about 10 minutes. Rinse that out, than Apply the shampoo again to the scalp, and shampoo as usual. You will notice more lather(suds), this really works well from experience.
This is what a Shampoo Cap can be used for also. Once, every 2 weeeks you can lather up with shampoo, and put a plastic cap on, or plastic wrap. Let this stay on for 15-20 minutes, rinse this out and shampoo as usual. You want to make sure the ends are conditioned also, to prevent damage.

Use Fresh Soda shampoo. I used it today for the first time and my hair's looking really really stripped! I have normal/dry hair and I used it as a clarifying shampoo. But people with oily hair can use it as a daily shampoo. And it doesn't have any sulfates, so it's good for your hair. Hope this helps.

Try & find one that is specifically for greasy hair. And when washing it, make sure your scrub your scalp too, not just your hair.
