It means you are a promiscuous male. It means you are only into relationships for your own enjoyment. A player sees women as sex objects, to be cast off when he tires of them.

For the most part it means you have no trouble getting girls, and generally date multiple women at the same time. Some players are shady and will try to make each woman think they are the only person he is seeing, while others like myself will inform them that he is seeing multiple women and if they don't like it, they don't have to be involved with him. I find that this works greatly in my favor as it turns the tables around and I end up having the women that stick around trying to get MY approval and win MY attention instead of it being the other way around.
Edit: I'm cracking up at some of these other definitions. Hilarious.

you know what i think that most people i know use the word "player" wrong. because i think that a player is a guy/girl who can treat thier lover right . nobody don't care you could snatch up 3-4 boys/girls at a time.you might want to know for your self ,your true potential but other wise who cares.the person you are with doesn't want to know because if they find out that you are a stereotypical "player" they wont want to stay with you.they'll think youare unfaithful
