sheesh! i can't beleive how many people are AFRAID of a deck of cards! lol... and they actually think the CARDS do the divination, instead of the reader!
i read the cards occassionally, kinda outta practice...

Hmmm....here's an idea: Start a Tarot journal. Every morning do a one card reading for the day and write down what you think the card is saying. Then go through your day. When the day is over write down what happened during the day and compare it to what you predicted that morning. It may be spot-on, it may be completely wrong. But just keep doing it. Eventually you'll find a pattern. Doing this will allow you to develop a personal and subconscious meaning for each card. Your interpretations may be completely different from what you find in a typical Tarot book, but that's just fine. Also do simple readings for your friends. Your friends will need to be completely honest with you about whether your predictions are right. After trail and error you'll soon see the true meaning of the cards. Make sure to practice. Read, watch videos, ask questions. Just keep learning.

The symbolism is very interesting and some of the packs are very beautiful. Not much in to divination though. You can still play plenty of good games with them though - as the Italians do (tarochi).

I do tarot and runes and Tibetan Mo, but I don't do it without the person and their energy present.
