Come on, it's not that I have anything personal against this guy but seriously:

HOW CAN YOU POSSIBLY CHANGE YOUR SEXUAL ORIENTATION THAT FAST??! IT'S NOT THAT SIMPLE!!!! (Trust me: my cousin is gay ^_^;)

I really don't think you can walk into a rehab center and simply walk out a straight man.

Any other people agree with me? :/

P.S. I have nothing against gay people. It just disappoints me when political and religious leaders blatantly lie.

Mental health professionals are not allowed to diagnose or treat homosexuality as a condition without breaking their ethics codes. Therefore, any professionals who were engaged with his "treatment" were already beyond the ethical scrutiny of their overseeing organizations. It takes no more ethical disregard to lie about his "cure" than it does to lie about the "treatment" itself.

Three weeks of treatment is not enough to get to know someone as clearly defensive as he is, much less reach a treatment conclusion. This is just a white-wash, carried out in collusion with mental health quacks.

Disclaimer: I'm not a supporter of Ted. I do want him to do well, but I wish that for everyone. Anyway, here goes:

The power of the Holy Spirit is the only thing that can truly change a person. We can reorient our mental paradigm, which in turn changes our actions, but we cannot change ourselves at the core. I don't know if Ted really experienced something that truly changed him or not, but you should not underestimate the power of God to change a man's life. I know multiple people who, upon conversion to Christianity, quit drinking/smoking/etc. It was an instantaneous change.

If this is the case with Ted, then more power to him, but only God truly knows.

He repented and is getting the help he so desires and asked forgiveness and that he will by no potential get caught doing that returned. Its ok for him to be forgiven and circulate out and do it returned-hes a non secular man or woman and a ethical, upstanding income to all mankind man or woman.no longer! I think ministers working with him are under allot of pressure to look good and set and example. How many must have wondered how this could happen to some one in his position. Did he not have resources available to him? How could this go unnoticed? We there any warning signs?

How can his colleagues preach the love and character of Christ and then just cast this brother aside. They have to set the example.

He is just trying to do damage control and restore his life back to what it was as close he can.

Once people start sinning and get on a roll, they need to do more sins to try to cover up the old ones. Lying becomes a natural defense mechanism for manipulators.

Yeah Cracker, and he's lying again by saying he's "cured".

He's only saying that to try to hang onto whatever remnants of his former life that he can.

His self-loathing is so strong that he'll engage in whatever self-delusion he has to in order to keep from having to confront the truth.

You are not the only one who is disappointed. Ted Haggard is either a self-loather or he is propagating his message of intolerance for financial reasons. Either way, he is wrong.

People lie about sex because the mangod religion say to stifle it because it is the true route to the Goddesshead.

Only the goddess loves you.

You just have a hard time believing him, get a manuscript of the apology/speech he made to his congregation. He admitted he was a liar and a deciever. You just can't believe it, can you?

You can't change your sexuality, no matter how badly you might want to, after ANY length of time... you'd find it way easier to change your skin from smooth to scales.
