Sauce For Fish Sandwich

I like to use about a tablespoon of thousand island salad dressing. Depends on the brand, sometimes you can get a nice thick one that is more like a sandwich spread than those runny salad dressings.

I also like to take about a tablespoon of ketchup, add about a quarter teaspoon of sweet relish and just a hint of prepared horseradish (less than an eighth of a teaspoon). This gives it just a bit of bite to help counter the sweetness from the ketchup and relish.

I also like cocktail sauce.

I make a sauce with mayo, lemon juice, and horseradish, then I also put malt vinegar directly on the fish.

Ummm...

Not all at once, mind you, but what about...
salsa, con queso dip, ketchup, mustard, mayo, melted velveeta cheese, Chinese hoisin sauce, shrimp sauce, cole slaw - yep, right on top!

What about trying a little of each on your plate, as dipping sauces, rather than right on the sandwich? See which one tickles your tongue the best.

I like a cajun style remolaude. I think it is a little thinner than an aioli but has a nice spice to it. Here is a recipe on the link listed below.
