Because if your right, it really doesn't matter cause we all rot in the grave. However if Christians are right, then you are in the worse state imaginable. Because going against the infinite power God, is not something you want to do. Since we know that God exist, there is plenty of evidence, then we should warn others.
If you doubt a God, take a look at some of these sites and you will be convinced fully of one.

First, you just said He does not, which I believe was deliberate if not terribly funny.
We try to make you understand that you are wrong. You are a challenge and a mission given to us by our Lord and savior.
Feel free to tell us to stop believing. Fair is fair after all, besides it might make us learn what and why we believe what we do. Good luck.

If the basis for your position is belief, then that is your religion.
If your position is based upon a lack of knowledge, then philisophically, you're an agnostic, (you don't know).
If you are ambivalent about those who do believe in God, then you are an open minded agnostic.
We don't have many of those on this site. Nice to meet you.

People try hard to convince you because they believe your life for all of eternity depends upon it. The truth exists outside of our beliefs, so what you believe doesn't change the truth. They don't want you to settle for your beliefs, but to seek out the truth.

im not going to tell you to what to believe.
but i was raised by an athieist mother with a human secular bent.
ONE day i prayed to be baptized in the holy spirit and the next I was being visited by an angel of light in my bedroom.
IT was an awesome eye-opener.
if such an experience doesnt prove there is a God I dont know what else there is!
???
Wait, YES i do,
having a vision of the glory of Jesus christ, not once, but 3 times.
check the link below, apparantly someone else had a better vision than i and added angels

...I undestand what you mean, but I also think some people are so adment about it b/c they really believe in Heaven and that what they believe will grant access there...and I think they try to make you believe so that you can eternally live there as well...When I asked God to reveal himself to me I didn't say a name, Allah, Jesus, God, Budah, none of that...I was honest and said I don't know what to call you, please show me who you are...if you don't believe in God right now, ok...it is what it is, but suppose you just say to him what I said, and see what happens...I'm not forcing this on you, I just feel there is more to your question than what I physically see...and if what I suggested helps you in a positive way, that's what's up...if you ignore it and go on doing what it do, then ok...BUT what's the harm in asking him to show you he exist?...do what you thn your heart is telling you...( I did and found that this guy named Jesus was constantly put in my path)...Just to clarify the two I didn't say if you exist PROVE it, I said God reveal yourself to me, show me who you are...

I will not try to make you believe. Only God can do that. My purpose here is to care about you and love you. If you change your mind and would like to know about God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit. I would love to tell you about them.
