Depend on your definition of miracle? My husband and I were about to get a divorce, and I had strayed from God many years earlier, and I am not sure my husband with his catholic background ever knew God quite the way he does now. We had been in counseling for quite awhile & I was seeing no end to the arguing. My husband had picked out our counselor a woman and a Christian, which surprised me, because he was not even a practicing catholic! About that time I got insomnia! I had it for a few months averaging about 4 or fewer hours of sleep a night. I was taking all kinds of sleeping pills and even they sometimes wouldn’t work. I started to try to read my Bible again, and began praying a bit, but there was no end to my insomnia!

One late, late night I was up cruising the Internet, trying to kill time while I listened to everyone around me (hubby & son) deeply sleeping…I remember writing in my journal: “I hate not sleeping!!!” Over & over…I came across a site that talked about handing your problems over to God, and other Christian basics that I needed to revisit. I remember reading the words & starting to cry. I cried & prayed until I finally feel asleep. I prayed that God would take these problems, because I can’t do it anymore by myself, and if I was not going to have anyone at least I would have God. I prayed for Christ to be my savior, for forgiveness of whatever sins I knew I had.

Well like I said I slept that night about 6 hours! God had already begun the transformation. And I began to average about 5-7 hours a night. I prayed for salvation even though I barley understood it, but I knew I wanted it, needed it & believed in it! Then by some coincidence I came across a book…The Excellent Wife by Martha Peace. I thought well I would like to know what God says a good wife is & see if I was even reaching my potential, upon reading I was shocked! I had always considered myself a good wife, but the chapter on sin is what spoke most loudly to me! I realized I was not and excellent wife I was not even an okay wife…So how could I expect my husband to change when I was never willing to admit “my” faults? I began to apply all that I was learning and had a new found want for God in my life! My husband was seeing my transformation as well. Counseling was going better than ever. For the last 2 months my family has been attending a non-denominational Christian Bible chapel, and very recently, last week my husband prayed to Christ, repented & asked for salvation, I was so happy and completely filled with joy! From the verge of loneliness, divorce & bitterness, I have a loving husband and family for the first time in our 10-year relationship (5 year marriage) I look forward to everyday, and serving the Lord by serving my husband! Well that’s my most recent miracle; the more I look at things in my life the more I see even small things like everyday miracles!

Yes, he is 9 years old and she is 6! the most wonderful experience...okay not technically a miracle. Still pretty amazing.

Miracle: occurences that excite wonder and astonishment; effects in the physical world, that surpass all known human or natural powers.

my dad was layed of when i was nine. He had no job for three years. For those three years God gave us the money to pay the house payment. It wasnt alway on time but it was a huge miracle. I had to give up my hobby ballet for ten months! That was a miracle itself because i was able to last ten months without ballet without killing myself!

does miracle necessarily have to be made by god? i'd say its synonym is "coincidence"
