if some thing is pulling 36amps DC what is it pulling AC is it still 36amps. for example service panel to charger then charger to forklift. is there calculations?

Convert the output of the charger to watts:
(charger output voltage) X (charger amps to battery)

Then divide the watts you get from above by the input voltage of the charger and you will have your answer. Add 10-20% to account for inefficiencies.

Example 24v charger at 36 amps.
24 X 36=864 Watts

Charger plugs into 120v

864/120=7.2 Amps (Plus inefficiency)
