I've just had to bin my partner of three years because of cheating. I think I must have been very naive not to know sooner although I suspected. I don't do these things and feel quite bad that its been done to me twice ( my ex wife of twenty years did so as well). I'm just an average man with no mortgage and a decent job. Reasonable sense of humour. Don't get drunk. I'm not too bad at the physical side. I would have thought that women would appreciate that and be true.....but they just seem to want extra!. I' m not stunning.. but I'm not too bad looking either. Is it me?. Am I a geek or something?.

Hey man, kudos to you for maintaining your integrity through more than a couple of hard times. I have revently been through a very similar situation and mental illness was involved on her part. Really I have to believe that you are a nice guy, and if I am not wrong about that, then you must be attracted to the wrong type of woman. Unfortunately as we age, our respective dating pool becomes largely composed of "leftovers" (a very crude metaphore but perhaps the most true). You should enlist the help of a good friend to market yourself, this will require deliberating on the differences between what a sincere woman and a cheating tart desire in relationships. Remember that there are also a few women who have been cheated on also who are just as afraid of being hurt again. When you find someone interesting you have to be sensitive to that as well.

I honestly can't say if you're a geek or not - how about posting a pic on here? Then we can all pass an opinion ...

I am sure that's not what you want to hear. So, someone cheated on you and it happened to you before? I'm afraid that's life. It might happen the next time but the chances are it won't. Live in daytight compartments - don't carry today's badness into tomorrow.

Good luck (and you can email me with that pic if you want a personal opinion!)

I value trustworthy'ness (can't spell that tho!) & I think you need to find someone who is only a bit younger than you, who also places that top of their list of priorities.
I believe you shouldn't feel bad about yourself
for wanting truthfulness & honesty in a relationship
& that you shouldn't allow people who have no scruples
to drag you down into the pit where they're coming from.
NO, you are NOT a geek!
Stop beating yourself up!
Just pick yourself up (cos I can't do that for you)
& get back on that horse, as they say.
There are MILLIONS of women out there, who are in need of a DECENT man, so go out & find one!
I actually know a woman who is looking for someone just like you! She values "Christian principles" & she wont live without them if they are not apparent in a man.
So be heartened, Mr Nice Guy.
YOU DESERVE BETTER.
Just find QUALITIES you admire...

Start acting like a confident, masculine man who's in control of himself and his situations and you'll start getting some women. No woman wants to be with a man who makes himself out to be some sort of victim, it's not sexy to them.

No. sorry old man. Maybe if you were 25 years younger. I don't want to be with anyone older than my dad. That being said, you don't sound that bad. It makes me think about why people who want to be with someone special, who are worth someone special continue to be alone. The world isn't fair, is it?
