2 years ago I befriended a married woman and fell in love with her. She wanted to leave her husband and marry me. I was reluctant and afraid of the situation and didn't want responsibility for breaking up the marriage. I know that makes me sound better than I am, because in spite of my reluctance to marry , I exploited the situation to have a commitment free relationship and stringed her along. Finally when she gave up begging me to marry her, I had a sudden realization that I loved her but by then it was too late. Now I realize that I lost the best thing that has ever happened to me in my life and I regret not taking the opportunity to marry her one year ago. I have to add that the relationship was not sexual for me, it was more about finding a soulmate, someone I really could communicate well with. Now I'm left pining for her and feeling incredibly lonely. I now that I am fully responsible for my situation, but it still hurts as hell. How does one get over one's soulmate ?

You must put her behind you and move on. Life is transitional and you must cope with change to survive.

It may hurt now but you will get over it and if you get out and meet people, someone else will come along.

That's a tough one! I suggest you go out and meet new people. Just like you found her you can find someone else. It may not be the exact love you lost but you'll be suprised it will be real close. Try and be friends with your lost love and you'll slowly get over it. You'll see that a person only wants what they cant have! Also while your trying to get over this woman surround yourself with close friends all the time. That way they can help you get over that lonely slope. You'll hardly think of that person at all when your around friends having a good time! Last but not least if you feel like you have to cry. CRY! Crying cleanses the soul. After awhile, you just wont be able to cry anymore and when syou stop crying that means you have completed the hardest step and now you can move on. Remember what ever doesnt kill you, only makes you stronger!

It's really hard. I say go find her. If, like you say, she is the best thing that's ever happened to you, she should be worth searching after. Tell her what you put in you question. Tell her how she makes you feel and how much you love her. You may not want to disrupt a marriage, but she probably is not over you either and might still want another chance. Give it a try and put your whole heart and soul into winning her over.

She's not your soulmate, you're just lonely and that was probably the last woman you talked to. Start dating other women and you'll start to feel better gradually.

sometimes ya just gotta sadlle up and admit you messed up. Its more likely that you just want her now because you cant have her.. thats the truth of the matter. I have been in the same boat. Once you man up and realize when you could have had her you didnt really want her, you may realize that she could not have been your soul mate. then you will realize, its just your mind playin tricks on you..... You just gotta move on, entertain yourself with the company of another lady... You will be aight!!!

She wasnt a soulmate, she was a CHEATER. Once a cheater always a cheater. No matter what you think dude, if she cheated with you she would eventually cheat on you. You're better off without her even though you feel she was the one, imo, she wasnt.

was she really your soulmate if she was married to someone else. I think that you should of waited until she left her husband before leading her on to think that you and her could be something. I think that if it is meant to be then it will be

I don't think we ever really do, but we can keep on living and know that you will meet other people that will touch you in different ways. Time does heal everything.
