They sell crab apples here, like they are something people should eat. I always thought crap apples were horse food. They also sell baby apples next to the crab apples. They look like crap apples, but they are different flavors. The crap apple is the typical red and yellow. The baby apples come in all flavors that we basically know as a normal apple. I was wondering if they are picked early, come from their own tree, or are genetically modified. Thanks.

Hi, Crabs are a type of crustacean in the ocean. But Crab Apples come from Crab Trees. I had one in my backyard growing up. Just letting you know. Maybe not everyone has seen a Crap Apple tree. They grow out in the country.

I haven't been able to find any actual sources for "baby apples" but when used, it is implied that they are literally baby apples.

Crap apples are a different item, as they are sour by nature and wouldn't be used in place of baby apples.

I have been working in produce for over 7 years and have yet to see "baby apples". I don't doubt that they exist because we sell baby zucchini, baby summer squash and baby carrots among others. These are miniature versions of the typical frit or vegetable. I would say that if the miniature apples come in the same varieties as normal apples then they are not crab apples.
