Sounds as stupid as the BIG BANG. (I believe there was a big bang, but it sounds too silly)

Probably because they are indoctrinated too believe without thought. They are brain washed. They don't believe in the idea that we are born curious and love to understand how things work. Religious Christians conveniently ignore the past history of Christian and the violence and ignorance they caused in the name of Christ. They don't recognize that they excommunicated
many smart people who were investigating the world around them and making scientific advances in spite of the laws of the Church. Too believe that the world is only 6000 years old is patently ridiculous. There is too much horror to go into.

if you're referring to what i think you're referring to, then yes, of course it's silly. there were many ancient civilizations, and 6000 years is a drop in the ocean compared to the very deep history of life on this planet. a deep history that has had thousands (or more) religions, religious wars, empires, creation and destruction of civilizations, good times, bad times; peace/love, war/hate (i guess we're in the latter, perpetuated by religions of course, islam is now being blamed, but oh, who was doing it almost 500 years ago? 500 years is nothing.) I know i'll get slammed for this but i don't think humanity originated here.(owch) if people only read one two thousand year old book their whole life based on knowledge and experience that is clearly
primitive then they will never move forward or grow as human beings, because they are literally living in the past. but thats up to them.

That's because it isn't. That is only something ignorant bible thumpers believe, it was determined in the 1600's. That was back when the Catholic Church thought that, among other things, that the earth was flat and that the universe revolved around the earth. Although most of the scientific community had already figured out this this wasn't true, the Church insisted on their view, and some Christians continue today.

Everything is possible to God who does not have the same limitations we have. God can make things aged. Like Adam, he was a man when God created him and not a baby or embryo. Trees were big, grass was green...He can make everything appear the way He wants.
But my faith is not about the creation, I see the message. The message is that God loves us, and He wants to know who loves Him back. You have a choice. That is a free will about. : )

Go to this site and you will sing a different tune
Besides Christians believe that human life is 6000 years old, not necessarily the universe.
