There will come a time in your life when you can't hang out with your dad. (You've moved away, you have other responsibilities, he's no longer alive, etc.). When that time comes, and I hope and pray that the day is far away, you will look back on the time when you hung out with your dad as time very well spent.
As for myself, I now live in a different state than my dad. I still try to visit him when I get the opportunity. Now that I'm a dad myself, I find the time spent with him even more valuable than before.
Enjoy your time with your dad. I'm sure he is enjoying the time with you.

I do. I get along with him real well. We usaully talk about politics and TV.
