First: Suzhou River joins Huangpu River in Shanghai. So you could say Shanghai is near the mouth of Suzhou River.

2nd: Huangpu River joins Yangzi River just outside of Shanghai city centre. So you could say Shanghai is near the mouth of Huangpu River.

Finally, Yangzi River joins the East China Sea not far from Shanghai. So you could say Shanghai is near the mouth of Yangzi River....

Yao's answer above is good, but most people just use the Huangpu River, since that is the name of the river which passes the Bund and the city of Shanghai.
