I'm an atheist and often speak as if there is a god... I say things like Geezus Keyrist... Holy (fill in the blank)... etc. it's just a figure of speech.

It is an evident fact. For the same reason I talk about gravity as if it exists or air as if it exists. You cannot see either, but you can feel and see the effects. Similarly, we cannot literally see God, but we can see and feel the effects of His presence and actions.

Why -- would you like to get to know Him?

He sent His Son Jesus to atone for your sins, and He'd love to welcome you back Home. You just have to make the choice to accept His mercy and forgiveness, that's all.

Once you get to know Him, there won't be any question in your mind about whether or not He exists.
