Well I met a guy at this a dance the other night. Usually you just dance with a guy and then just go back to dancing with your friends. I danced with him for a few minutes and then I said I was just going to go get a drink. Just as I was about to say goodbye he followed me. I did not want to be rude and reject him. I said I needed a little break thinking maybe he would want to stay in the party room but he followed me outside. We sat and talked for a few hours. He kept complimenting me on my looks and he had his arm around me. I was flattered. He also gave me his number and then he kissed me. He said he would promise to call me. When he left I went back inside again to dance with my friends and they told me he was weird and I just said oh. I was so happy someone liked me to think past that I really was not that attracted to him. He text messaged me sweet things and he called me it was really awkward. I dont know what to do. I just want to be friends but I don't know how to tell him.

just set him straight and tell him all u want to be is friends and nothing more.set him sraight now beacuse if u keep waiting he's gonna think yall actually ment to be and when u wait too long and tell him, u might break his heart and he might do somethign dangerous so tell himstraight up b4 things get too deep

Well...you could go the easy way or the hard way both in the end will hurt but if you dont want to be anything more then friends it hurts him more by not knowing that.
EASY WAY
sit him down and say that u like him but you just got out of a really close relashonship
HARD WAY
tell him you and him and your boy friend should hang out but if you dont have a boy friend ask a guy to pertend to be your boy friend.

He sounds like he just wants to get your panties to me but if you wanna be friends invite him to a movie and say hey my and my boyfriend are hanging out wanna come l8r (even if you dont have a bf) Invite a nice guy friend to pretend that he is your bf

well if i were you i wouldnt that man is a stalker to me but if you feel safe with him and you really think that you will go somewere in this relationship then go for it if you think other wise dont because i dont think that itll be worth it.
