using dark wood furniture( armoire, frames, end tables) but the white piping on the couch is throwing me off..I dont want the couch to clash with the rest of the room..any suggestions?

The issue here is the white piping is such a stark contrast with the navy fabric on the sofa. This is all you notice. Right?
Aesthetically, "high contrast" lends itself to a more contemporary designed room (think black and white). Fortunately, navy and white are very classic colors. You can tailor the rest of the room in the same fashion. Think J. Crew and Nautica. While orange and red may be a bit strong for many people, they are complimentary colors to blue. Using a brick color on the walls could compliment the sofa nicely and work very well with the wood tones of your furniture. White matting in artwork against the color on the walls will mimick the contrast in the sofa! Yellow is another fantastic color to use with Navy and White (very J. Crew.) With yellow you can add accents of moss, salmon and browns. A buttery yellow would be a fantastic accent to your wood tones also.
But, as I picture the room with the information you've given I think painting a complimentary color on the walls is your next best and least expensive move!

I can see where the room would be very dark looking with the navy and dark wood furniture. I would accessorize with floral pillows that are in medium tones to blend with the white piping and dark wood. Maybe a floral throw or curtain tops. Add other colors to bring it all together. You can always return the items if you don't like them.

White piping is so hard to meet the eye. Generally the soft
tones around the room will be highlighted by that. This will take
6 weeks to get used to, there is no way around that. Maybe a
distracting place matt in wood tones of burlap style.

Get a fabric paint pen in the color of your choice at your nearest craft store and color on the piping.

hummmm get some rugs and or change your carpet?? If you can just remodel or sell the couch and buy a new one!!!!
