The Bible claims that God simply spoke animals into existence.

Evolution shows us that it didn't happen that way at all.

A lot of people have interpreted the bible to say that the earth is only 6,000 years old. When you see how long the evolutionary process is, it conflicts.

The bible also says that god created everything out of the blue, and they haven't changed since. Evolution shows that was not the mechanism.

Evolution does not prove whether there is a god or not. It merely points out that the bible is wrong about the creation story. Perhaps god told stories the same way that Jesus did to show his point?

Because the bible says God twinkled his nose and the world appeared with the animals the way they are now. Plus the bible says the earth is only 3000 years old.

The main reason Christians don't like evolution is that it puts the explanation into the hands of scientists and takes it from the clergy.

The theory of Evolution is taught in school as fact and young people in general believe what they are taught.
In turn as they grow older this is what they know? So they quote and defend their learning as fact,
How ever you should know that every house has a builder and every builder has a set of plans.
So we live on this earth and every thing is just right to give us life. Its not hard to see that this earth and the universe had a builder? The only place I know to learn about this builder is the Bible., But remember this? that all your life and all your parents life you have been indoctrinated to teachings of men, So would it not be better to test what you think you already know to be accurate? To compare your thoughts to that of God's thoughts that are recorded in scripture? For example: if people want to live in good health forever then God requires a simple thing:John 17:3 Pslams 37:9-11,29 Mathew 5:5
On the other hand if a person wants to believe in evolution what is his hope?

Well, Bible is really the Word of God as its writers allege and as I believe then evolution and its geological age-system must be completely false.

Since the Bible cannot be reinterpreted to correlate with evolution, Christians must diligently proceed to correlate the facts of science so with the Bible.

Because the Bible teaches that the Earth was created about a thousand years after the Sumerians invented glue. And evolution takes millions and millions of years to take place. Problematic much?

I believe that the two ideas can actually coexist very well. I believe in a kind of "post-creation evolution." I believe in creation because of my Christian faith, but I also believe in evolution because if a person takes the time to actually look at it in-depthly, it makes perfect sense, and can be seen in the real world around us. I believe that evolution exists as a mechanism of God's will. He created the world, and is continually shaping everything in it according to His will, any Christian believes that. I simply view evolution as an extension of that.

The two are not compatible in the sense of Macro-evolution. Both cannot be true. To those that say evolution is science, there is more faith in evolution than in Creationism. The science is lacking and there is a growing trend in science to state their doubts. Darwin's theory of evolution is almost scientifically dead now. Advances in Geology, biology, astronomy, and science are putting more and more nails in Darwin's coffin

A lot of Christians are now accepting evolution as part of gods plan.

But to answer your question, it's because of the Adam & Eve story. So, they don't want to believe ppl evolved from the same creature that apes evolved from.
