I have enjoyed Knudsen Cottage Cheese since I was a young girl, as has my family since becoming a mother. Why is it that the product is so watery 90% of the time? Is it the manufacturer that supplies this region, or is that to be expected now? It's really not very appetizing, and I so miss the way it used to be! Sometimes you need to literally drain it before eating, and even then it's not the same. Please shed some light! It's not just me, and you do get a normal one every once in a while, but not often enough. What happened?

It's probably just the whey separating from the curd.

We moved from CA to TN recently and my wife loves Knudsen cottage cheese. From what I understand, Knudsen out here is Bridgestone, so we bought their cottage cheese; it was watery and just plain awful. This is the first I've heard of Knudsen being this way, so perhaps it is a change in their recipe; we thought it might have been a regional thing but if Knudsen is now the same way it must be something different. We both miss our cottage cheese!

It used to say 'Farmers Style' on the label and was indeed much drier and better. However, I cannot find any brand that is not watery anymore.
