I have wanted to know for a while because I have taken several prescription medications over the last few years and would like to know a little more about them.

Yeas, try www.drugdigest.com It also lets you know which drugs will have bad reactions when taken together.

Ask a Pharmacist. If you don't want to ask the Pharmacist read the hand-outs you recieve with your meds. Some of the websites online are generated by drug companies to market their products (I am NOT implying anything here), also I have found some information that is not truely reliable on websites. There is a book called the PDR (Physicians Desk Reference) that has all the drugs a Dr. can prescribe in it (but they can be fairly costly). You can also get a book from the local bookstore/library (such as a Nurses Drug Book) that lists all the drugs and their side effects.

It isn't the best web-site I think but it will cover more different medications. It is called:
www.webmd.com

They have a special section for drugs, medicvations and always do list side-effects.
Also, you can always go to the web-site of the Drug company that makes the medication and the specific detailed information is always available there.
But, try webmd.com

Several, but it's usually easier just to Google the particular drug you're prescribed. You'll have to navigate fewer pages to get to the info.
