I have about 6 patches of dry skin on my arms. They aren't too big but since they all look the same I am thinking it's some kind of fungal thing. I am seeing a dermatologist tomorrow but I am worried sick right now. It just grosses me out and I am having a hard time finding more information online. Has anyone ever had this? How does one get something like this? Can it spread through my family?

The are small square shape. They are not that noticable but when you see them they are dry around the edges but not as dry looking in the middle. They look kind of like pinches.. in fact thats what I thought they were at first. From my daughter pinching me. But after a few weeks later and they are still there and spreading I am sure it's something else.
