You've opened pandoras box with a question like that. There will be those here who say its nasty and dirty and not to get it (those are the people who have probably never even been into a tattoo studio and think we all still work like jail convicts). Then there will be those who are going to call you a slut simply because you mentioned tattoo and naked in the same sentance (youre only a slut or a whore if you behave like one, not because you have a tattoo). Those who will tell you its against god ( The exact passage from leviticus 28 is "do not do upon yourselves" ie go to a professional). And finally there will be thsoe who say right on, its your life and body.
Personally ive seen every walk of life walk through the shop doors. Those who deserved the quality artwork they got and those who more than likely will regret it because they wont listen to reason and want something silly. Don't get a tattoo because someone says you should/shouldnt or because its cool, get it because you either can appreciate it as a decorative artform or because it means something to you.

I love tattoos and people that have them. Tattoos are an art work no matter what people say as long as you are sensible about it. Don't get one if you're young. Theres too many girls out there that get the cliche tribal things on their lower back as just a phase. Then they grow out of it and regret it. I have 2 so far and once I have the money I am going to get more. Be careful about getting one in places where people can see like the forearm or neck area. A lot of businesses shun them. Get one for yourself as long as it means something to you! My first was my Pisces sign and I love it. Make sure you draw what you want or find a picture and print it out and put it where you can see it often, keep looking at it for months before you decide to get it to make sure you don't regret your decision, remember you're going to have it for the rest of your life!

I got a tattoo on my back 15 years ago. There is not one day where I regretted it. In fact, I want to get more.
The tattoo I got hurt like hell at first when they did the outline. But after a while, you get used to it.
Make sure they use new needles when you get it done. And just keep in mind that a tattoo is forever.
Good Luck!

I wouldn't recommend it, but then again that's just me. I'd like one of course. I'd end up getting one of Bruce Lee either on my back or my chest, but of course I just wouldn't feel right doing it. To me, the body is something special to me. I wouldn't choose personally to put any type of graffiti or artwork on it no matter how good it looked. I am an artist as well.
As far as people who have them, thats fine with me. Its up to them. The only thing is that the majority of people who have gotten tattoos usually at some point in their life end up regretting it. Still though, I am not judgemental of these people. I have many of them as friends. It just all depends on what that person believes about themselves. The only thing is that as long as you stay true to yourself and to your own beliefs, then you'll never be steered wrong, whether it be to get a tattoo or not.
Like I said, I love art and would love a tattoo, but I choose ultimately to stay true to my own beliefs. Other than that, the temporary tattoos are fun and once you're bored with them you can always get another one.
Don't take my word for it though. Trust your own self and be true to yourself only and like I said, whatever decision you make will be the right decision for you.

It all depends on what it is. It can range from awesome looking, to just plain stupid or gross.
Go to www.ratemyink.com and look at the top ten and bottom ten rated tattoos and you'll see what I mean.
Also, dont worry about how you will feel about it when your old (like 60+). If you like it for a long time when your younger, then you probably wont regret when your old and wrinkley because it will remind you of the good times when you were younger.

Well I am a tattoo artist and I personally have over 40 tats as of right now. I feel personally that a tat should be a representation of something past , present , or future in reguards to the person or something in there life such as an expierence. I dont have one tattoo on my body that dose not represent something in my life ....
I dont think there is anything wrong with them the way I view them as it is a representation of who you are ... expressiveness ...

Consider Holocaust survivors. Obviously NO ONE goes to maintain them in charge for breaking what was once as soon as taboo in Jewish society. The present proposal is that at worst, you can be placed beneath heavy guilt for purchasing one, however no person, shop a couple of crazies, goes to critically punish a Jewish household member for purchasing one. Disappointment is a steady of the Jewish mom (believe me), and is the reason why plenty of Jews are not fearful approximately getting one, considering that they're no less than used to that. In phrases of Jewish society, you can be requested to hide up at parties and features, however that is approximately it. You'll nonetheless be in a position to visit stated features, and as many have mentioned, be buried in a Jewish cemetery, a false impression I've heard customarily. Basic Jewish even though: It's among you and G-d, besides.

tatooing is another form of art. i think it's great...! i personally wouldn't cover my body in them, but more power to people that do. ya heard? (hehe.) anyways..
about your idea. yeah go for it, but if you get one real small where no one else can see it, or if you just get one at all, make it something original!!! put time/thought into it. don't settle for a simple butterfly or heart. get something you know no one else has, it's much better that way..!!
