Jeff Gordon...based on the fact he is more experienced...Juan Pablo Montoya's lack of experience in a stock car at Daytona likely will bite him because drivers like to draft with those who are very experienced.

Jeff Gordon will probably finish better, but JP Montoya will finish strong. He was almost always in the top 5 or 10 with the practices earlier in the week. He will definately have a nice, steady finish, but Jeff just has more expirience at Daytona, esspecially in a stock car. There's of course always the chance that Jeff could repeat what happened in the Shootout. He didn't exactly have his best finish in that. It was a flaw with the equipment, something out of his control. Plus, look at what happened to Gordon's teammate, Kyle Busch, at the Shootout, looked like he was going to win it, until about 12 or 13 laps to go when he got out of the draft and fell back to, what, 11 or 12. That could always happen to either of them. So most likely Gorden will finish better than JPM, but there's always a chance the unexpected could happen.

Juan Montoya has a car that can win. Jeff Gordon has racing experience at daytona. But Hendrick Cars do not seem to be up to speed yet. we will see.

Even though Gordon is a veteren, I have to go with Montoya. So far he has been doing better.
But this is a hard pick, anything can happen at the Daytona 500 with its restrictor-plate racing.
I still get the feeling that Montoya will finish better, but there's no way anyone should bet on either of them, too risky.

ON the paper should be Jeff Gordon cause his experience, but with Montoya in a good tuned car I would not write him off
