Einstein's General Relativity is the more recent, more accurate, law of gravity. Has Newton's law of gravity been thrown onto the trash heap? Is it wrong? No, it is a very valuable first approximation which is good enough for almost all purposes. And Newton's law is valuable for comparison with and understanding Einstein's version. And Einstein's version is too complicated for most purposes.

Since when has Newtonian Gravity been dismissed?
Is it like the thing where "Evolution has been disproven"?
Meaning, is it a total fiction on your part in an effort to try to put doubt into science?
See, I'm pretty involved in science. My greatest passion in life has always been the study of such things as biology, and chemistry. So I'm pretty up on announcements of this type.
Newtonian Gravity has no more been dismissed than Evolution has been disproven. Only the Christians make those types of claims. Or other uneducated and uninformed.

You blind little monkey. The earth doesn't crash into the sun because it's continuously in free-fall around it. It technically is falling toward the sun, but every time it turns the corner, it continues falling past it, therefore never meeting the surface of the sun. Why? it's outside the roche radius. The roche radius is the line dividing what will eventually fall toward the mass around which it orbits from what will not. Example, the moon is outside Earth's roche radius, but its distance from the Earth in relationship to the amount of gravity being exerted on each one, the Moon is slowly drifting away at a rate of a few inches every year. Gravity isn't a theory. Your pastor doesn't know what he's talking about. Neither do you.

You are being silly. Gravity is an innate force exerted by all objects with mass upon all other objects with mass. The bigger the object, the greater the force. Just because every last detail is not yet understood does not mean that the entire premise is false.

You are sitting in your desk because of gravity. Every star or planet in this universe is round, because of gravity. You can prove gravity, just throw an object up and every time it will fall back to earth. Why? Because of the Earth's gravity.

Gravity is caused by the magic sky leviathans as described by the Bible. They use their special electric appendages to hold us to other surfaces.
