I buy bisto vegetarian gravy but find it overly salted so i tend to add more water then recomended. This makes the mixture too light and doesn't taste good. Any ideas on what I can do to thicken it up and anything i can add to make it taste better? I have been told to use flour but what kind?

Also any suggestions on a good vegetarin gravy apart from bisto?
thnx

With regard to the flour part of your question, the type normally used is cornflour.

You need to mix about one heaped teaspoon full with cold water or milk, until you get a smooth runny paste. If you add to hot ingredients in powder form, it will go lumpy if not mixed first

Hope this helps.
