Why do women don't like geeky men?

Can some intelligent woman tell me why don't they like geeky men? I would have thought that geeky men are more likely to be able to support a family then some weirdo on drugs and boose!!

The Answer to that I think is this: We all more or less have primitive instincts. And women have the primitive instinct of going for the "warrior" the one who can protect and fight for them. That is why so many women end up in violent relationships and go for the jackasses. Again it's a primitive instinct in their mind and instinct can override logic. I for one am sort of like that not that I don't like geeky men but I go for the big handsome guy.

First off, I know plenty of women who dig "geeky" men and a lot of "geeky" men who are in relationships, so your question isn't really relevant.

If you consider yourself to be "geeky" and want to know why women don't seem to like you, that's a separate issue but not knowing you, we can't tell you why this may be.

Next, being "geeky" is no guarantee a guy can "support a family" or won't use drugs or booze. It simply means he's geeky, not that he's weathy and has no bad or dangerous habits.

not all nongeeky men are weirdos no drugs - most of my friends are male and they dont take drugs and they are as normal as men get - LOL
There are plenty of geeky girls out there.
basically its down to personality and a regular gal whose not geeky isnt going to have anything in common with geeky guy.

Not true some women can appreciate/attracted to geeky men...but I think that there is a fine line between nerdy and GEEKY!

for me, being geeky is no problem. but some how, geek dress a bit weird.... if you guys dress up a bit or just be a bit vain, then i dont think you should have any problem meeting a girl. and say, if you are into science or math, as much as possible avoid such topic when you two are together. talking about it once in awhile is ok but keeping it going on and on, could be a bit boring...

Maybe your meeting the wrong women?

Looks like all the females on this page like 'geeky' men.
Im not too different in that fact-depends if I like the fella not what they look like or what they do with their spare time.
If they make me laugh and I enjoy spending time with them then they are all right by me!

Plus Im round 'weirdos on booze' four nights a week and they dont do anythin for me!
Worked in a bar where drugs were massive and they equally didnt do anythin for me.

well it depends what geeky you are talking about. it if is like steve earkle geeky then theres no chance. if it is just like smart geeky then ther eis a girl out ther that likes you and they just dont want to date you because they are embarrased. if it is ike in the middle of geeky and cool then there deffentainly is a chance of getting a girl. don't give up. eventually some girl will give you the chance to have her as your girlfriend.

Come Geeky men........ you have answered your own question.
we are basically animals and need some sort of attraction to want to mate....whilst some girls are strong on intellect....there still has to be a modicum of a Wow factor
So although you will be a better partner the flower needs to be strong before you pick it, otherwise it will look as if will droop and die, simple animal magnetism a bit of a neanderthal thing

i dont hate geeky men but i like the element of ....a man being a bit rough round the edges.i would never go for an drinker or crackhead. but geeks tend to constantly play it safe and wheres the fun in that?! if a guy/girl isnt full of surprises then bordom soon sets in.

i seriously think geeky men arent all that cute but they are so sweet & stuff. So, if you're a geek but super sweet, then most likely u will find a wonderful lady some day. as long as you aren't a pervert or anything...
