I'm growing out my hair, and I was wondering if I could take prenatal vitamins to help it- I'm not pregnant, though, so are there any side effects or anything? Has anyone tried them for growing out hair? Thanks :)

Yes (well not if you are anemic) I am taking them for the same reason, my hair seems to be growing faster!

Good Luck!

Yes you can take them they are just a vitamin that has more of the important vitamins that you need when your pregnant. I took mine even after I had my babies to help with my hair growing out. I actually still take em on a daily basis right along with my birth control pills.

Of course prenatals are trustworthy. My best buddy's physician simply recomends these for ladies in childbearing years. Personally though, i just take a womans multivitamin, olay brand. I would recomend that one. There are vitamins chiefly for hair and nails though, just assess out the diet aisle and browse up!

Is having boobs safe for non-nursing women?!?!
Of course prenatal vits r safe. Rly youre sposed to take them if ur trying to get pregnant (basically b4 ur pregnant) bc this hekps the fetus the most.
And it does increase nail and hair growth.

they are perfectly safe for anyone who can take vitamins. they may cause constipation though, so watch out for that. if it should happen though, you can switch to a kind with less iron in them.
