Tripod recomendations for photography?

HI I need a recomendation for a tripod stand, im using a 30D / 18-55mm f/2.8 is usm maybe some day up to a 300mm 4L. Something indoor and outdoor use around 300-500$

Stick with a good name brand. Slik, Bogen/manfrotto, giottos all good.
