We were in the middle of talking about something and trying to plan a certain project, and as were looking at the calendar, he just threw (or tossed it) across the room as I was looking at it...and kept repeating this same line over and over (i.e., The format is good for the venue)

Is he creeped out by me? He never acts like that - ever. I don't want to make him hate me...i'll give him his space, but I'm wondering what his actions mean...

It sounds more like hostile than uncomfortable. It also sounds more like you were debating and not talking about a project.

I will get a thrashing from all the feminist out there but when you really like a guy, don't make him feel as if you are mentally superior to him, or as if you think you are. There is a difference between challenging a guy and making him think you are a mondo feminazi. Men are very easily frustrated by argumentative women and if its strictly a professional relationship then by all means, argue away. However, it's a fine line but you have to walk it if you want to have a relationship outside of work. Men need to be looked up to. Its not that they don't respect you, it's just that your needing them makes them feel important and when you make anyone feel important they naturally want to be around you more often, it's human nature.

His behavior sounds like pure frustration to me.

Only time will tell if he was emotionally traumatized by you & if he ever will forgive you for inflicting & insulting his pride.

In the meantime, you just have to wait & see.

Good luck.

the best thing to deal with it, is always talk to him straight. if you are bit uncomfortable talking to him alone, call him or send an email or letter.... good luck...

I think he has a mental issue (crazy). Even if he was uncomfortable, that is not normal behavior
