It is not legal in Vermont and why people think that from ONE judge's bad judgment is beyond me. The judge down in southern VT that let a molester walk free is under fire and sure to be barred for life when all is said and done. It's like saying that all Californians are like Paris Hilton - it's stereotypical and not actuality.

VT does have a few problems. First, our prisons are overcrowded and no one wants to allow a new prison to be built in their town. So we've been sending a lot of prisoners to other states but suddenly these other states are saying they don't necessarily have the room - alternately the idiots who commit the crimes are whining about being sent unreasonable distances from their families and human rights movements are agreeing with them. There's half the problem right there.

I said long ago what the punishment for molestation should be. Castration. Human rights groups are against that too.

its not legal in Vermont, I Live on the border of Vermont and not to long ago, it was in the local paper that a family up near Bennington was indited for molesting 2 of their own and 4 of their day care kids. The plead guilty to their own children and got 25 yrs for it and still have to go to trial on the day care kids. u better get a hold of the state police and not the local if u know of someone being molested. then kill the bastard that did it to the kids!!!!!!!

Castration or death (well that's what I would like it to be). It varies from state to state in statue. As for Vermont... It's probably one of those overlooked laws that was never revised or updated over the years, but it they really need to look into that one...

Well, my father got away with it, but God sees everything. He now has cancer in the lung and kidney He has never smoked or drank. He has high blood pressure, diabetes, a bad hip, and his truck keeps on getting broke into. I don't think that people understand that it kills the child inside. I think that the child should get free therapy from the government, and that the prick should rot in jail getting fked in the ***.

It is not legal anywhere. I think the punishement should be death by skinning with a rusty razor blade and a pair of pliers.
I'd be happy to be the executioner, too.

Sad to say, but the crime usually only gets a person 3 to 5 years.

What??? Oh please, I cannot believe that to be true of Vermont. Heck, it's always been considered a squeaky clean state. Don't tell me your elected officials have gone to hell in a hand basket, too !!
