religion is philosophy put into practice, while religion seems to cause wars, wars are almost always about land and resources religion and patriotism ect are usually just the methods used to get others to join. A world without religion is a world without people thus noone would be able to even contemplate the question

It'd be a better place if people would stop being close minded and start practicing their religions the way they're meant to be practiced. But since that won't happen anytime soon, then yes the world would be a better place. And I'm religious. Crap. :|

No, it would be a better place without religion, yes, but b/c of religion, many people die. The world would be even more over populated. So YES, and NO.

umm......... thats a good idea to think about but somebody has to belive in something and i won't want to be like everybody else so no i really don't think the world would be a better place if we didn't have religion

I personally think no, people would not have anything to put their faith in. Sure people fight over religion but look at the millions who dont

this is what it would be like I would kill you for no reason and the only thing I would have to worry about is getting caught you would just be gone like a dog in the street or some one would rape tour mother and sister and not worry about any thing or if you had young kids some guy might just want to take one of them home and make him or her there sex slave or when you put your money in the bank the teller would just walk off with it there would be not to go by but mans word which is Worth nothing big country's like the United States could just go to Cuba and say it,s ours get out

absolutely not.
If there was no religion; there would be no reason for human beings to try to reach beyond the transcended. Everyone would obey the impulses of the animalistic subconscious mind.
The world without religion would be like the Mad Max scenario/
