somewhere where the setting (a naturally beautiful place, like a beach, a riverside, a forest park, mountain overlook) allows the two of you to feel together while taking off the pressure of having so much to say might suit you, depending on your personalities.
other possibilities: a favorite but relatively unknown and intimate restaurant? theatre or playhouse? everyone does movies, but how many dates wind up at the symphony, or at an art exhibit, or a play? a local college might surprise you with its offerings. feeling frisky? try the zoo.
at the risk of appearing too 'highbrow', there's always a homemade dinner at home (your place or hers) over wine and roses. my brother met his wife at a bowling alley... you just never know!
whatever makes YOU feel comfortable, will help the two of you shine. and most importantly~ don't forget to have fun!

are you near the water? or a pretty park? go for dinner at a mid-range restaurant or bistro, a nice walk and then go for dessert and coffee.
does she have a dog? after dinner pick him up, take him with you for the walk and instead of stopping for a fancy dessert, stop for a take-out coffee or ice cream.
that would do it for me!
but then i'm pretty easy to please, other women might not appreciate this idea.

stay in and characteristic a board recreation evening! it is a chilled thanks to be comfortable, casual and inexpensive! Order in and basically loosen up and characteristic a marvelous time! video games like tornado ;), monopoly, scrabble is likewise relaxing to make up stupid words and characteristic an effective giggle!

well, why not set-up a beautiful simple picnic together? i mean, you, doing all the works should impress her a lot. or together, see the sunrise in some isolated but romantic place on the vday itself. good luck...

secluded park/nature walk or if there's a large enough river or lake nearby a dinner cruise or a simple boat ride if that's not available.
