My foot tattoo was my most painful tattoo by far but totally worth it (so far).

There was a lot of pain and the outline especially hurt. The butterfly has legs that extend to my toes and the wings graze the side of my foot, so pretty tender spots.

After it was done I could not walk correctly for about 2 days. Wearing shoes was painful so I tried to avoid it all costs.

Now I barely notice it. Sometimes it freaks me out because I forget I have it and then I start putting on socks or washing my feet or whatever and bam! Eyes staring back at me.

There are few parlors that will do tattoos on your feet. Call around and see what the policy at your parlors is.

I had two hours of work done on me feet. At one point you think that you are fine and the next, even though the artist barely moved a half a centimeter, you want to pull your foot back instinctivly. I would recommend you don't do that, for it will mess up the tattoo. :P Also...touch ups, which I've been told by a couple artists, are almost always nessary for feet tattoos. Depends on the artist, your skin and your aftercare. Thankfully I didn't have much to touch up, but what I did, hurt more than I thought possible. All thanks to scar tissue!

But it's worth it. I'm glad I got it done.

well i didnt quite go all the way to the foot, but mine is low on my ankle, basically where the foot begins and it stretches from one ankle bone to the other; and I learned that the more bone there is in the area of the tattoo, the more painful it is. Plus the skin in the ankle/foot area is very thin and a lot more sensitive.
i would have to describe the feeling as, being stung by a wasp hundreds of times a second. And if you have to get it touched up, its even more painful the second time round.
You also have to be very careful when you get a tattoo on the foot. you cannot wear any type of socks or shoes that will cover it up, or it will ruin the design. And they are very easily infected.

Hope this helps. Good Luck :)

I have 9 tattoos. I do not have any on my feet because I heard that it hurt A LOT! I have one on the back of my neck and that one was extremely painful. What the needles feel like to me is like a semi-dull razor blade being dragged across my skin very slowly.

I just got 2 feet tat's one for each foot half an hour each and the best way to describe it is put your foot in front of a hot tub jet till your foot is twitching and imagine it wihtout the water it doesn't hurt just makes alot of vibrations and makes you twitch. But that is the most amazing feeling ever!

I have one on the top of my foot and two on my toes. I found that out of 15 tatts it hurt the most. It is tolerable but it feels like the needles are hitting the bones and the tendons. Its hard to hold your foot still because of the nerves.

Few tattoo parlors give tattoos on the feet because of the sweat glands on the feet, as well as the fact that feet are extremely sensitive.
