Another way it to take a rag soaked in rubbing alcohol and rub it over your body, as it evaporates it will cool your body and bring down the fever. And it's starve a fever, feed a cold. You want to water a fever not feed it.

A fever is your body's way of killing off a virus. If it stays under 102, don't fight it. Let it run it's course. If you have one for more than a couple days(regardless of how high or low), you'd better get to a doctor. You've got something going on and you might need meds.

Most doctors that I have had recommend alternating Tylenol and Advil every 4-6 hours to keep a fever down.

You can also take lukewarm to cool baths, drink lots of cool (not cold) liquids.

aspirin, cool rag on forehead, or cool bath. and lots of rest. and make sure you have a lot of blankets on you, so you can sweat it off. make sure you drink a lot of fluids, and eat.
