And you could take advice from only ONE person...

Would you take the advice of a scientist or a priest?

I would seek counsel from God. A Christian can talk to directly to Him; no middle man necessary. A scientist? I don't know of any scientists who have power over life and death. I have been a nurse for nearly 14 years, and cared for a lot of cancer victims at the end, when they knew just how futile science really is.

I would take the advice of the Scientist and then if the advice went against my own personal beliefs, I would just let it go.

I know from experience that priests teach doctrines of men, not Bible truth, so I'd go and talk to the scientist (the doctor?). At least he'd give me practical advice and not tell me that my disease is "the will of God"!

as a Christian, neither.
just a doctor.
I would not take the advice of a priest for anything.
I think you confuse catholics and Christians.

Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Matthew 7: 21

Well, I'm a devout Christian and also a scientist (biology). I'll go to the doctor for my broken arm, but the broken heart will be a pastor i speak with.

Cancer? Is God less God if i have bad luck? God is God because of who He is, not what He does for me. Sometimes the sun shines, sometimes the rain falls. It doesn't change who God is, it only makes me stronger and wiser.

too many people have died just praying, id go with the scientist. if you have cancer you spend most time praying anyway and so do all your loved ones.

Scientist, of course. I trust my religious leaders, but a scientist is more qualified to explain and treat my condition.

Neither one, I would full rely on God. I assume you mean terminal cancer? Scientists cannot help me and neither can a priest.. God is the only one who I would rely on in this situation, as with every other situation in my life.
