Obviously, this would require new governance for all countires as the existing ones care NOTHING of their people. So, if all peoples from the U.S./Mexico border to the Panama canal agreed to "replace" all governments with a decent, pro-education, one-child, policy, how many white Americans would volunteer to fight?

Our government wouldn't be able to "officially" involve itself, given Iraq and what may soon come of Iran and N. Korea. So, our foundations would be the most powerful contributors in the world: voluntary donations of United States, private entities and idividuals.

These are our neighboring nations. Illegal immigration will destroy this country and wouldn't even exist if not for the failed economic policies of those countries.

So, I, for one, would be quick to put my life on the line to nip this 'downward spiral' in the bud. It'd be a worthy cause.

Who among you would sign on?

It's not clear what you're asking. The internal operations of other nations aren't ours to dictate, as long as it doesn't impinge on US interests. Better education and population control south of the border would be a *good* idea. (Side note: In the last Mexican election I was in the unusual position of favoring the Socialist candidate because he proposed that illegals should come home to make their home county a better place.)

There's no reason that Mexico and its neighbors can't be as prosperous and peaceful as the United States; they have, in effect, chosen not to. Only they can choose differently, unless we propose to impose it on them - which wouldn't go over very well even if it's ultimately to their benefit. If they were to choose a better system which reduces poverty and unrest, it would reduce the appeal of illegal immigration and thus reduce the chances of conflict.

Who would not just love another Nation Building situation. You would think that we have learned something in Iraq. We need to encourage freedoms and basic humanity to the people of those countries. Feed the economy and influence the leadership. That is the way to effect change, not destruction of the powers that be. The US would only be the place for refugees.

duke, you may think you are a smooth talker. One thing for sure the rich elite of Mexico have chosen is to send their poor to the USA. They had no problem in making that decision. Being that you have a computer you are one of those rich persons. The rich elite should be taking care of their own poor. Not putting out the bullshi t you are putting out.

If you are asking if I'd approve a combining of our countries if there was a quote on education and population growth - NOT A CHANCE!. Keep Mexico and Central America FAR AWAY. They are destroying the US.

If that's not what you are asking -- HUH?
