Hi there, Yes the worms can be passed onto humans, i am talking through experience, but the worms are not necessarily picked up in the home, can happen through play, nursery, school, the signs are the child is scratching there bottom frequently, the eggs are picked up through there nails, from petting animals, playing in the garden etc, and not washing hands, then there fingers are in their mouth tranfering the worms into the gut. You are doing the right cautions ie regular handwashing and makesure you wash pet bedding often and vacum you home daily, but it is rare, i am just talking through working with children and i know they can get worms. I have a 2year old and a labrador and we have never had a problem, i worm and flea my dog regularly.

Yes. If you put anything into your mouth while playing with the dog, if you allowed the dog to lick you and then didn't wash up, if you inadvertently got some of his fecal matter into your mouth or on your hands and then put your fingers in your mouth for whatever reason. If you did not wash your hands thoroughly after playing with the dog and accidentally had some of his fecal matter on your hands...YES, you could get pin worms from the dog. Talk to a doctor, have a stool sample checked for parasites, get the facts.
In the future, never put your fingers near your mouth after playing with an animal, until you have had a chance to thoroughly wash up with soap and warm water.
I have always been very careful, but still contracted Toxoplasmosis from cleaning my cats litter box.

You most certainly can get worms from dogs, depending on what type of worm it is you can get it from their saliva or contact with their fecal matter. Don't let the dog lick you and make sure you wash your hands really well after touching it.

It's unlikely but it is possible, depending on the type of worms and the contact you had with the dog.
This site explains parasites of dogs that can also infect humans:
http://http://www.petsandparasites.org
If you have any concerns that you may have been infected, talk to your doctor.

It depends on what kind of worms. Just make sure you always wash your hands after handling your dog.

Its possible...but not likely if you practice basic sanitation. It depends on the type of worm the dog had. You are not likely to get the dog's tapeworm...and dogs DON'T get pinworms.

It is possible to get roundworms or hookworms from dogs/cats, however not common if you practice basic good hygeine..handwashing, keeping poop picked up in your yard, etc.
Just being around a dog will NOT give you worms.
You can NOT get pinworms from dogs (they don't carry pinworms) and you can NOT get tapeworms from dogs (tapeworms are only transfered by fleas and ingesting rodents.
