I had my appendix out 2 wks ago. It was stated sclerosis of the appendix and that it was retrocecal and stuck down to the cecum also had periappendiceal fat showing areas of hemorrhage. Can anyone put this into regular English for me?

OK here it goes "your appendic got calcified ( changed to Calcium)
Now calcium is hard like a stone it was rubbing on the fat and there was bleeding." That all you need to know.

That description is a real mouthful! Sclerois = hardened tissue; retrocecal = folded backwards on the large intestine; periappendiceal = in the periphery of the appendix. So, adding it all together, it looks like your appendix got folded back on the large intestine, and it started to shrivel and harden. The fat surrounding the appendix was also bleeding.
